Malayalam Prayer Group
CTK Malayalam Prayer Group: The Malayalam Prayer Group (MPG) is a Catholic Community of Church of Christ the King. This group was started in the 1980s when the ministries and Prayer groups of Christ the King Church took shape. There was a need for all the Malayalee Catholics of CTK to come together and form a community to get to know each other and pray in Malayalam. The fellowship was extended to foreign workers from Kerala and welcomed them into the Malayalee community to help them to learn the local culture, practices so that, they will feel at home.
Mission
Pray as a community, to welcome the migrant workers, including the nurses and domestic helpers into the community so that they may overcome home sick. Show our appreciation to the foreign workers for their contribution in building Singapore into a beautiful country for all of us to live comfortably.
Objective
- To meet regularly, once a month to share the gospel to strengthen our faith.
- To pray for the families and the sick
- Visit old age homes and pray with them
- Join other Parish ministries of the Church
We meet on every 3rd Sunday at 3pm in room 101. Aii the Malayalam speaking catholic from other parish also are welcome to join our prayer session.
